With sadness, our little school will be closing permanently on 31st August 2017

School Meals

The School Meals Service operates a Healthy Eating policy which is reflected in the menus offered. Menus are sent home each term for children to select their meals. Cooked meals are brought in from Camblesforth School and are currently served in Class 3.

School meals cost £2.10 per day.

Dinner money should be paid in on a Monday in a clearly marked envelope with the following information:

  • Name of Child
  • Class
  • Amount enclosed
  • Days which the child will be having dinner, if less than a week.

Children may bring a packed lunch, which we encourage to be healthy one.

For safety we do not allow glass bottles or fizzy drinks to be brought into school.

School Meal Menus

Each week your child will bring home a copy of the dinner menu for the following week.

Copies will also be uploaded below.

School Snacks

At Drax Community Primary School we promote a "Healthy Eating” policy actively and therefore strongly encourage pupils to eat fruit at morning playtime, which is free.

We do not allow sweets, chocolate or gum in school. An exception to this rule is for celebration (eg. a birthday); on such an occasion the treat will be handed out at home-time and pupils asked to take the treat home with them to eat.

Milk is available for children in school for a minimal charge. Please ask the school secretary for details.
